.TR REGISTRAR-REGISTRAR TRANSFER

A registrar-registrar transfer is the process of moving a domain name from another registrar to the METUnic panel or a domain name from the METUnic panel to another registrar.

You can follow the steps below to transfer your domain name from a different registrar to METUnic:

  1. The transfer lock must be removed from the registrar where your domain name is located.
  2. You need to obtain an “Authorization Code” from the registrar. This code is required for the transfer of your domain name to METUnic.
  3. For the domain name you want to transfer to METUnic, click the “Transfer” button on your control panel and type your domain name. Then enter the authorization code in the relevant field.
  4. Complete the transfer application by paying the transfer fee.
  5. The transfer fee is equivalent to one (1) year’s payment of the domain name and the duration of the domain name is extended by one (1) year when the transfer process is completed.

*For the transfer of a domain name that already has a five (5) year term, one(1) year fee is charged, but a one (1) year extension is not available.

You can follow the steps below to transfer your domain name to a different registrar:

  1. In your Dashboard, click on “Info” on the right side.
  2. Select the “Transfer Lock” section.
  3. Click on the “Release the registrar lock of the domain name to be transferred.” button. Then, click on the “Show Authorization Code” button to get the EPP code. The code will be displayed on the right side.
  4. Copy or write down the EPP code. You can start the transfer process by forwarding this code to your new registrar.
The EPP code is a type of approval code used to ensure security during domain name transfer. You can transfer your domain name securely by receiving this code from your old registrar and forwarding it to your new registrar.

Transfer processes are completed after 24 hours. If you want to speed up the process, you can confirm your transfer request through the registrar where the domain name is registered.
