Are documents required for .tr domain names applied for through Backorder?

Evaluation and document requests for .tr domain names are handled by the registry, TRABIS.

If TRABIS requests documents for a com.tr, net.tr or .tr domain name you have applied for through Backorder, we will notify you.

In addition, if you place a backorder for a .tr domain name on the TAKIL list, TRABIS requires documents supporting the domain name application (trademark certificate, tax certificate, certificate of activity, registry certificate, trade name information published in the Turkish Trade Registry Gazette, etc.) and a declaration form (petition).

This practice is based on the ICTA (BTK) document Procedures and Principles on Restricted Domain Names (opens in a new tab).

You can download the declaration form as a Word file and view its PDF version. All forms are available in the Forms section of the .TR Domain page.

You need to submit your documents by clicking the "Upload Document" link next to the relevant domain name under "Services → Pending .tr Domain Name Transactions" in your METUnic control panel.

How can I cancel my backorder application?

In your METUnic control panel, go to "Services → Pre-order", click the "Info" button, and on the screen that opens, select the "Refund" option and choose the reason for your cancellation request to submit it.

When you submit a cancellation request for your backorder application, the system will automatically create a support ticket for your information, and we will notify you once the request has been processed.

Can I place a backorder for documented domain names?

The evaluation and document requests for .tr domain names are handled by the registry, TRABIS.
